Nutty Banana Bread

My new favorite cookbook is The Comfort Table by Katie Lee Joel. The recipes in it are mouth-watering and if you love cookbooks like me, then you'll want to get this one! I fixed her Nutty Banana Bread minus the nuts only because Ben always requests plain banana bread so next time I might try adding them and have him pick them out!

Nutty Banana Bread
2 cups all purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup canola oil
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup buttermilk
3 medium bananas, mashed
1/2 cup walnuts, finely minced (about 2 ounces)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9X5X3-inch loaf pan. In a small bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

In a medium bowl, beat together sugar, oil, eggs and vanilla until well combined. Alternately add the dry ingredients and the buttermilk in three additions. Gently stir in bananas and nuts.

Pour the batter into the loaf pan. Bake for 45-55 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the bread cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Carefullly turn out the loaf to finish cooling on a wire rack.

I linked this blog after reading a comment you left on Annmarie's blog. I was LOL after reading it.
What is Kosher salt and can you use regular salt in place of it?
